The people that I work with are my family - Just as much as you have heart and passion for your food and for your cooking, you have that same passion for those same people. Like most chef beginnings, Allie Oliva fell in love with cooking at the hands of her grandmother.
While not originally focused on pursuing a culinary career, Allie fell in love with the constant adrenaline-fueled puzzle that kitchen life provided. Soon, she began to explore the world one cuisine at a time. Coming to Austin, Allie ran the boutique catering company 2 Dine 4 before working with Rick Lopez at La Condesa. While at La Condesa, she came into a deeper appreciation for her Mexican-American heritage and set about exploring her own culinary roots. Now Chef de Cuisine under Kevin Taylor at ATX Cocina, Allie further explores modern Mexican cuisine. |
