Like most chef beginnings, Allie Oliva fell in love with cooking at the hands of her grandmother.
While not originally focused on pursuing a culinary career, Allie fell in love with the constant adrenaline-fueled puzzle that kitchen life provided. Soon, she began to explore the world one cuisine at a time.
Coming to Austin, Allie ran the boutique catering company 2 Dine 4 before working with Rick Lopez at La Condesa. While at La Condesa, she came into a deeper appreciation for her Mexican-American heritage and set about exploring her own culinary roots.
Now Chef de Cuisine under Kevin Taylor at ATX Cocina, Allie further explores modern Mexican cuisine.
